Membership of Section UK of the International Police Association is open to all serving and retired (on full or medical pension) members of any civil Police Service. Membership criteria are; any serving or retired police officer of the Police Services, members of Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary, serving members of the Special Constabulary of the Police Services and members of the Special Constabulary who have resigned on reaching age limit or on health grounds or any other serving or retired police officer of a Police Service whose application is approved by the National Council. A member may just want some simple advice relating to a trip, or perhaps some local assistance: participation in events organised at a local level, e.g. branch trips overseas, sporting competitions, pub evenings, to name a few are popular activities. Members may be interested in contacting someone with similar interests - whether it's a hobby or a professional subject. Offering friendship proves to be a most enjoyable and rewarding experience for the vast majority of members
The Challenge 2010 is an excellent example of how the IPA can assist members with advice and planning of international and European trips |
